These materials are the result of many years of providing professional development workshops. Most of the slides presented are adaptations of training materials developed for Focus on Learning or (the now defunct) Program Quality Reviews by either WASC or CDE or both organizations at some time in the history of the processes. Where credit can be established, reference is made.

To all of the friends who have contributed to my own ability to conduct workshops, to my understanding of school improvement and change, and to my knowledge of accreditation as important processes for California schools, I am grateful. Friendships cross many boundaries of assignment, geography, and time.
